Twenty years.
Quality buildings.
GG Verk was founded in 2006 by brothers Gunnar and Helgi Gunnarsson, the third generation in a family of carpenters. Their grandfather and father, both named Gunnar Gunnarsson, were carpenters who laid the foundation for the family's decades of experience in the trade.
Our company culture still reflects those family roots, with collaboration, participation and teamwork playing a central role in everything we do.

The GG Model.
GG Verk's mission is to build quality structures, delivered on schedule, with outstanding craftsmanship and care for people and the environment. To achieve this, we work systematically within a management system we call The GG Model. Our four values are the heart of how we do things.

Buildings are for people and built by people. That is why we always put people first — clients, employees and partners alike — and never compromise on their safety.

Foresight
We prepare every project with care and risk-assess each work package from the outset. We work to plan, track performance in a weekly scorecard and flag obstacles immediately — before they turn into delays or costs.

Reliability
We mean what we say and say what we mean. Reliability is ensured through consistency, active internal and external oversight, and international quality certification to ISO 9001:2015.

Accountability
We take responsibility for people, projects and the environment. We never cut corners on safety, and we work systematically to reduce waste and greenhouse gas emissions.

International ISO 9001 quality certification for eleven consecutive years, and equal pay certification under ÍST 85:2012. Other recognitions include Jafnvægisvogin (the Gender Balance Scale award), Framúrskarandi fyrirtæki (Outstanding Company) and various design awards.
